This is me...

My name is Alice Almeida. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil and I'm 24 years old. English is my second language, and I've spoken it ever since I was 13. I'm partially self taught, because my mother is an English teacher (but she never sat down to teach me).
I've been writing ever since I was a child, and through elementary school and high school I won 3 contests, and was published in a book before I was 15. I write fiction based on my real life experiences and dreams. Recently, I stared writing poetry and I have written 3 chapbooks in less than 6 months.
I was diagnosed with a Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar disorder last year. I'm a suicide survivor, and I'm currently working on my
goal of 1 year without self-harm. I am very open about my mental health and day to day issues because I believe this can help start a conversation and maybe help someone out there, like me. I support therapy, A LOT.
I know who I am, most of my days. On those days I feel lost, I'll use this blog to guide me back to my path.
